If you're ssh'ing to the Raspberry Pi from Windows, make sure you are running the 'sudo apt-get install wiringpi' command when connected to the Pi, and not directly in a Windows shell. You might want to try running the /home/pi/pico-8/pico8 command directly, troubleshoot it, and get it to work before going further with the launcher.
